The course
What makes Allround English courses immersive?
As the name suggests Allround English courses mean total immersion in the English language. This means you will be speaking English from the first “good morning!” to the last “good night!”!
The days consist of “formal” lessons, usually in the mornings, where we focus on the wishes and needs of the course participants. Most participants would like to work on English for their work and common topics are presentations, negotiating, writing emails or dealing with customers. But every course is different and is totally based around your wishes. In the afternoons we will explore the area either on foot or further afield in the car. We might go for a leisurely walk, or a hike in the hills, go for a swim (if it’s warm enough!) or a take a trip to Bantry to walk around the market. We may also explore the other villages or towns, take in the spectacularly varied scenery in the region, take a boat to an island or go kayaking. Again, what we do is very much geared towards the wishes of the group.
In the evenings we can cook together – for those who would like to join me in the kitchen – and then eat together. Afterwards we may want to walk across the road to the cosy little pub for some music or play a game or just continue chatting. The most important thing is that you will be immersed in English all day, from breakfast until we say goodnight – this is what makes Allround English courses so memorable and will have you dreaming in English by the end of the week!
